Chiang Mai Flower Festival

This annual festival is held for three days during the first week of February. It celebrates the rich diversity of plants for which Chiang Mai and northern Thailand are famous, focusing on temperate-zone specimens, which are at their best during this cool month.

Along the streets are displays of flowers, handicraft sales, flower competitions and beauty contests. Exquisite floral floats, portraying many themes, make their way down Tha Pae Road . This colorful event is fun for all the family and makes for some great photo-taking opportunities.

Chiang Mai Puppet Playhouse View

The Chiang Mai Puppet Playhouse offers the opportunity to learn something of the rich history of North Thailand, once known as the Kingdom of Lanna .

The puppets are beautifully made and spring to life during a series of sketches that recount Buddhist folk tales.

The playhouse is located behind the Contemporary Art Museum . The entrance fee is Adults THB250, children of age 11-15 THB100, children of age 5-10 THB80
